The hirer is required to complete a booking form.
The booking form should also include a cheque for the booking deposit.

Hire Period

The standard period of hire is 1-3 days. If the items are required longer this can be arranged. Please ask for a quote.

From the time of delivery or collection the goods remain the property of Simply Exquisite Event Hire, however the customer is responsible for the care of the goods and remain so until they are accepted back into the possession of Simply Exquisite Event Hire.

Deposits and payments

A £50 booking deposit is required at the time of booking. This is non refundable in all cases.
The remaining balance of the hire charge along with any delivery/ collection costs must be paid 30 days before the event. This payment must also be accompanied by the damages deposit of 50% of the total hire price. For goods hired under a total value of £50 a £50 damages deposit will be required ( these can be paid by two separate cheques).
In the event that items are damaged or missing the amount will be deducted from the damages deposit accordingly, in the event that damages come to more than the damages deposit you will be invoiced for the remaining charges. Should no loss or damage be caused your security deposit will be returned upon collection after inspection.

We reserve the right to withdraw services and with hold the full booking deposit should payment not be made by the agreed dates.

Delivery and collection

Items can be collected and returned by the customer at an agreed time and place. However if you wish to have goods delivered/ collected this can be arranged, charges may apply.

When goods are delivered or collected items must be checked against a delivery note and signed for. If this is not done on delivery or collection Simply Exquisite Event Hire can not be held responsible for any damage or shortages.

The order must be ready for collection on the agreed date and at the agreed time. The items must be in an easily accessible location (no stairs)
It is essential the China is packed securely and suitable for transport.
Should we need to “repackage” due to poor packaging on collection a £20 fee will be charged to the hirer.
Any breakages due to poor packaging will be subject to the damages charges below.

Loss or Damages

In the event of any loss or damage, each piece will be paid for at the replacement value. The hirer will be informed of the charges and this will be taken from the damages deposit. If it is more than this the hirer will be charged the extra.
A list of replacement charges are available upon request.

Vintage Goods

Please be mindful that many items supplied are vintage and may show some slight signs of wear to the patterns, gilding etc. therefor all items must be handled with extra care. Be aware that the vintage china comes in an array of different colours, patterns, shapes and sizes.
Under no circumstances must the china be placed in a dishwasher. I ask that you empty the tea pots, milk jugs and scrap all the food from plates etc. Simply Exquisite will do the washing up.

Umbrellas

Umbrellas must not be placed on or near electric lights. If umbrellas are being hung from the ceiling as lighting only LED battery lights must be used.
Umbrellas are hung by the client and must be secured properly. This is the clients responsibility.

Liability

Simply Exquisite Event Hire will except no responsibility for damage or injury caused to person or product as a result of this hire arrangement. All goods are hired and are the responsibility of the hirer until they are returned to Simply Exquisite Event Hire.
